Request first, pay after acceptance
Native stays are request-to-book today: send a request, wait for host acceptance, then pay through the BTCPay checkout flow. Partner hotel checkout and payment are handled separately by the partner hotel flow.

A host may state a deposit preference, but HODLSTAY does not collect, hold, release or arbitrate security deposits.
